We will be open Christmas Eve 😁 The closing time will depend on how many people are there tonight. Due to the cold weather, I'm thinking we might close about 930-10. However, that's not to say we won't close earlier. That being said, we will be open on Christmas Day from 12-8, maybe later again, depending on how many people are there. Thank you for inquiring!
No they do not deliver
I dont think so but we thought the food was great and the people were super friendly
Don't remember seeing any wine there.
Cool place! very nice people, delicious and very well made drinks (margarita, K9) and superb chili! We had a very good time!
Anna was the greatest . Personality and attitude undefined . held the upmost respect for her customers tending to all requests even while being overwhelmed single-handed.. my respects to this establishment for understanding we are travelers and on the road . THANK YOU ANNA
The place was pretty cool. Very rustic, very old school, very comfortable, and friendly. The chili was awesome. Good chunks of beef and steak. DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! Also good cheap prices. The frozen mug literally froze the edges of the beer. For being around 108° when visited the frozen beer was a blessing. If your ever going through town and get hungry then stop by.
Great chili, very happy friendly staff. Great place for a stop!
Home town good 👍🤗
Great beer, great atmosphere!
Great place, great people. Bartender was very friendly. Chilli was awesome! Loads of character at this place. Fill your eyes with the gunslinger portrait above the bar.
What a good experience ! We knew this saloon because it was recommended by our french travel guide. We decided to eat there when we slept in the Death Valley. It was not so near from our campground. But they have really good and local beers, and their veggie burger is amazing. We met there very nice people. We advice you to go there if you are in the area.
The best 5 star hotdog! What a fun place to visit. If you are under 55, you won't get it!
What a great stop. Great beer and full bar, delicious chili, and filled with colorful local characters. We got some local history from one of the regulars, Dino, who told us the whole town is fed by a 200-mile underground river system— cool! We didn’t see any burros on the trip, but maybe next time :)
The Chili is excellent!! Good and spicy. A definite stop if your traveling through Beatty. The girls serving were very attentive and friendly. Great quirky stop in the desert. Not to mention the wild burros that come to town. 💚💚
Excellent chili! Nice folks, funky outdoor atmosphere. Quite a fun little hang.
Small chili bar. Award winning chili. Bartender was entertaining ... Meet the locals outdoor dining. Met the owner and he seemed nice enough will go back for sure.
We love to go to Beatty and hang out at the Happy Burro! Great food! Great people and service!
Small and quaint. I loved all the tongue-in-cheek decorative posters & plaques they had hanging on the wall. I had a cheese burger and it was delish. My daughter & her hubby had burgers and chili & they cleaned their plates! Great lil treasure!!! On our way back to the RV we saw 3 burros running through town! 😁🐎🐎🐎
Really nothing as a menu that anyone is used to.Just hot dogs basically ... and ice cold beer. However, I had the chili dog with onions ($7.50) and it is probably one of the best chili dogs I've ever had.Sitting outside in the late afternoon desert sun and munching on a chili dog doesn't sound right ... trust me though, you'll want to try it if you're in Beatty, NV.
Made a stop here to try out their chili. We were not disappointed. If you love chili, make sure you stop by here if you're near the area. Octavio approved *
Bartender lady with tattoos where's our server outstanding service also the food is very good and the beer is extremely cold
An awesome little bar. Award winning chili. Seriously. Quaint and cute. If you are in the vicinity..stop. You won't be sorry. In fact you'll want to stay longer.
Cute place with friendly staff and nice people. Visited several times during my stay and enjoyed the laid-back vibes. Even if food (Chili) is not the best I ever had it is pretty good.
I stopped here twice in two days, and not just because it’s one of two bars in town. It has colorful locals, cheap drinks, a stripper pole and an utterly bizarre bathroom. What’s not to love. The chili is solid, but rest of the food is nothing memorable. You can also bounce between the Happy Burro and the Sourdough Saloon next door for shuffleboard and other bar games.
Certainly a colorful bar & restaurant with a colorful local patronage. We piled in with a group of a dozen & the solo bartender handled us quite professionally. The menu is limited but the chili is terrific. A great group experience. Bravo...
This is one of the best restaurants in Nevada! Sometimes I drive the hour and a half up here for the chili. Great food and prices. Be sure to get a bowl of chili.
Great food and a good place to stop and eat there famous chili. Would recommend!
What a lovely place. Has the feel of cowboy-era bar, with rather unique picture opportunity bathrooms, beautiful outdoor seating, and the best part.....the chilli. At first I was cautious about the chilli, honestly, who would think of chilli in the middle of nowhere, but after seeing the walls of the bar adorned by 1st and 2nd place finishes for chilli cook-off competitions, I just had to try it. Boy, was it delicious, so good that I got myself a second serving of their incredible chilli. Beer selection is limited, but the chilli. Try the chilli, you won't regret it.FYI if you hate smoking, there have space to sit outside. This establishment allows smoking inside. Don't come crying on here about the smoking, taking away opportunities for hungry souls to try their amazing chilli.
Limited menu, but very good chili. I had the Frito Boat, fully loaded with cheese and onions. I will have to try the chili cheeseburger next time.
Service was great. The open faced chili burger was good. Still needed to add salt and hot sauce but that's just me. The decor is phenomenal!! I was hoping to see some donkeys but unfortunately they weren't there that day! Anyway, if you are in Beatty, definitely give it a try!!
It was very nice. The cook greeted us with a big smile. The food was hot and delicious. We travel to Las Vegas a lot I usually eat at Subway. Not anymore. This will be our stop from now on.
A must stop. Hopefully they have their works famous chili
Quaint and "dive" describe this venue well. It's a cute little bar with some four tables and another five spots at the bar. A tiny bar with some food options, I would not call it a restaurant. Friendly service and the chili was, indeed, very good, with enough spice to make it interesting and good chunks of beef, not ground. I had to ask for a glass for my beer, but that's probably bar attitude. What killed it for me is that this is a smoking bar. I didn't realize that until the guy right next to me at the bar lit up, which made me gulp the last of my beer down and quickly ask for my pay check. Friendly service, but I will never return here. Eating while others smoke, I thought that was a relic of the 20th century. Not so in Nevada, it seems...
People were friendly. The food was good. We had chilli burger and fritto boat. And we enjoyed it.
Great conversation and good beer at this hole in the wall. Will definitely stop back again to see kitty on my way through beaty.
A little "hole in the wall" place, with great burgers and friendly happy servers. Had the cheeseburger and it was delicious. Comes with a bag of Lay's. Would definitely eat here again if stopping thru Beatty.
Really cool place to go for short visit. If you want to enjoy something local go for it.
Came here based on a recommendation. Cute, TINY little place. When we showed up they told us ahead of time that they were out of burgers, Chili, and Fritos. (Please see their menu: this is the entire menu). That was ok, we wanted to get a beer and maybe a little something to eat so we ordered hot dogs because that’s the ONLY thing they had. We finished up our hot dogs when our daughter found a ton of mold on hers. So disgusted. The barkeeps/waitresses (they changed during our meal) were nice and she took one hot dog off the bill but it was still a bummer.
Best chilli I tried so far. Beers are great and everything for a good price. 👍
My wife and I made a special trip from Las Vegas to this location while on vacation. Totally worth it. We went in and we did stand out. Replace had all locals in in the middle of the week. Everyone was friendly kind and treated us very well. Lots of nice conversations. I also must give a shout out to what must be the best PBR tap in the entire world. So after drinking and talking we got our chili to go to take back to our hotel. Absolutely amazing. I make my own chili that everyone loves and thinks it's the best I've ever had. But this chili from happy burro just plain floored me. Whenever we're back through Beatty Nevada it will happen again except will sit and eat this chili with the beer.
The Chili is really good, the drinks even better :-) great service! Thank you for the nice evening!
Awesome chili, great cold beer, and very nice & historic outdoor seating! Inside is smaller but historically interesting as well. Definitely worth a visit just to try the chili!
Quirky little place in the middle of a town with very few good food choices that serves really good, meaty chili. The PBR on tap is exceptional- ice cold and tasting like Pabst used to. Dogs are welcome on the Patio, making this a great stop to fill the stomach, stretch the legs, quench the thirst, and hit the road again. What's up with the monkey in the tree?
Great funky little place. This is the outside area. Good chili and cold beers!
It was quite lovely, I ordered an all beef hot dog with a side of fritos. While enjoying my meal a radiant blue tarp protected me from the sunlight, with a slight clap when the wind caught it just right. With my family as well as a small propane tank turned into a pig, we enjoyed our entré. The chili is so good that it made one of their long term vegan waitress's turn carnivorous. 10 OUTTA 10
The server was VERY friendly. She had just opened and was not ready for customers but let us sit. We enjoyed some cold beer while she prepped the food. The menu was chili, hot dogs, and fritos. That's it! The outdoor seating had great decor. This place was a great start to our weekend adventure. Parking is limited. Don't park at Sourdough Saloon. He came over and yelled at me. One of the locals (we joked he was security) told me I was doing a great job making sure that guy was upset. I don't think those 2 get along. It's a small place in a small town, but the folks have big personalities.
Everything you need and nothing you don't. Super hot waitress will keep you smiling
Cosy place where you can find a cheap beer and a great chili. Pleasant service. Definitely would come back. A must visit if you are in death valley.
Love this place! Tiny little bar with award winning chilli. Good outside area
We almost didn't visit on our trip to Death Valley because a local working at the coffee shop didn't recommend it, I'm glad we didn't listen to her. This is such a unique spot and a great place to grab a bite before starting a trip through Titus Canyon. I got the Frito boat, it was amazing. The waiter was really friendly and helpful. Fred the owner is a great guy and spent time talking with us during our visit. Ask him to show you his really smart dog Blue's trick.
Great place after exploring Death Valley. Friendly staff and the chili was so delicious. Able to sit outside as well which was really nice.
Their chili truly is something special. Meaty, perfectly spicy, I loved it!
This was quite possibly the best chili I've ever had in a restaurant. Fun atmosphere.
